Mental Health Services

Berkshire County Kids' Place provides mental health services at no cost to abused/traumatized children and their non-offending family members. We have a North Adams office, located at BFAIR two days a week.

Contact: 413-499-2800.

The Brien Center announced today that in partnership with the North Adams Police Department, their North County site at 124 American Legion Drive will remain open and staffed for extended hours, 7 days per week.  The Brien Center has taken this step in order to provide crisis services in a safe and secure location since closure of North Adams Regional Hospital eliminated the Emergency Department.  It is The Brien Center's intention to maintain these extended hours on an interim basis until the Emergency Department can be reestablished in the community.  Even though services can now be received by coming directly to 124 American Legion Drive, the best way to initiate Crisis Services is by calling our 24/7  Crisis Hot  Line at 1-800-252-0227.  Since the Brien Center does not have the capability to treat medical conditions of any kind, please call 911 if emergency medical treatment is needed.

Health and Wellness

The Northern Berkshire YMCA would like to extend a 3 month membership to any Northern Berkshire Health Care employee that will be unemployed due to NARH closure. "If there is ever a time that our neighbors need to have a place to release some tension, it's now" says Justin Ihne, CEO of the Northern Berkshire YMCA. The Y asks those interested present their "work id badge" or some proof that they were employed by Northern Berkshire Health Care. A 3 month membership will be issued FREE of charge. You will have full access to the YMCA and its programs during that time. For more information please contact Gail at 413-663-6529.
